docsSubMgtCmFilterSubUpstream
Module: DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB
OID (symbolic): DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB::docsSubMgtCmFilterSubUpstream
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.125.1.6.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: The filter group applied to traffic originating from subscribers attached to the referenced CM. Upon row creation this is set to either zero (use default classification, the diffServClfrElementSpecific=zeroDotZero row of diffServClfrElementTable), or to the value in the provisioning object sent upstream from the CM to the CMTS. The value of this object is the same as that of the filter group index appearing as docsSubMgtFilterGroupIndex.
What is docsSubMgtCmFilterSubUpstream?
This read-write integer identifies the filter group applied to upstream traffic originating from subscribers behind a given cable modem, defaulting to zero unless the modem's provisioning object supplied a value at registration. Operators use it to enforce filtering policy on traffic sent by a subscriber's devices toward the network. For example, an operator could set this to a filter group index that blocks a specific upstream port or protocol used by devices behind that modem.
