docsSubMgtCmFilterSubDownstream
Module: DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB
OID (symbolic): DOCS-IETF-SUBMGT-MIB::docsSubMgtCmFilterSubDownstream
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.125.1.6.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: The filter group applied to traffic destined for subscribers attached to the referenced CM. Upon row creation, this is set either to zero (use default classification, the diffServClfrElementSpecific=zeroDotZero row of diffServClfrElementTable) or to the value in the provisioning object sent upstream from the CM to the CMTS during registration. The value of this object is the same as that of the filter group index appearing as docsSubMgtFilterGroupIndex.
What is docsSubMgtCmFilterSubDownstream?
This read-write integer identifies the filter group applied to downstream traffic destined for subscribers behind a given cable modem, defaulting to zero (use default classification) unless set by the modem's provisioning object during registration. Operators use it to steer or restrict traffic aimed at a subscriber's devices according to a specific filter policy. For example, setting this to a nonzero filter group index would apply that group's classification rules to all downstream traffic headed toward devices behind that modem.
