What is agentResCtlRequestTimeout?

This read-write value, in seconds and ranging from 0 to 3600, sets the timeout before the device retransmits a DNS request to the name server, defaulting to 3 seconds. An admin tunes it to balance responsiveness against tolerance for a slow or distant DNS server, since too short a timeout can cause needless retransmits on a healthy but slightly slow server. For example, an admin querying a DNS server across a high-latency WAN link might raise this value above the default of 3 seconds to avoid premature retransmissions.
