Module: DNOS-DNS-RESOLVER-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): DNOS-DNS-RESOLVER-CONTROL-MIB::agentResCtlCacheFlushStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.37.1.1.3

Description: The cache Flush status. If set to enable all dynamic cache entries would be removed.

What is agentResCtlCacheFlushStatus?

This read-write value flushes the device's DNS cache when set to dnsCacheFlushEnable(1), removing all dynamically learned cache entries; dnsCacheFlushDisable(2) is the normal, non-flushing state. An admin sets it to force stale or incorrect cached DNS records to be discarded immediately, rather than waiting for their TTLs to expire naturally. For example, an admin who just changed a DNS record upstream and needs the device to pick up the new value right away would set this to dnsCacheFlushEnable(1).

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.37.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DNOS-DNS-RESOLVER-CONTROL-MIB::agentResCtlCacheFlushStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.37.1.1.3.1 i <value>
