Module: DNOS-CAPTIVE-PORTAL-MIB

OID (symbolic): DNOS-CAPTIVE-PORTAL-MIB::cpCaptivePortalMaxBandwidthUp

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.38.1.2.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Access: read-write

Description: The maximum bandwidth, in bytes per second, that a client can transmit traffic when using Captive Portal. This setting limits the bandwidth at which the client can send data into the network. If this value is set to 0, no rate limiting is enforced. This value is represented in bytes (however; converted & stored as bits/sec).

What is cpCaptivePortalMaxBandwidthUp?

Rate-limits how much traffic, in bytes per second (0-536870911), a captive-portal client can transmit upstream into the network, with 0 (the default) meaning no limit. An admin protecting uplink capacity on a guest network might cap this to something like 1,000,000 bytes/sec (about 8 Mbps) per client.
