Description: Block or unblock the captive portal instance for authentications using the following values:

blockPending(0) - Set to this value to block the captive portal instance for authentications. After setting this value, the status displayed is blocked(1). notBlockPending(2) - Set to this value to unblock the captive portal instance for authentications. After setting this value, the status displayed is notBlocked(3).

What is cpCaptivePortalInstanceBlockStatus?

A read-write switch to temporarily block or unblock new authentications on one captive-portal instance without deleting its configuration: setting blockPending(0) blocks it (reporting back blocked(1)) and notBlockPending(2) unblocks it (reporting notBlocked(3)). An admin doing maintenance on the RADIUS server behind a portal could block new logins temporarily rather than disabling the whole instance.
