dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpFilterAction

Module: DLINKSW-IP-SOURCE-GUARD-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINKSW-IP-SOURCE-GUARD-MIB::dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpFilterAction

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.132.1.2.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This object indicates the IP Source Guard action applied at this interface with respect to IP traffic.

permitIpAddress(1) - indicates that matching IP traffic will be allowed to go through. What is matching traffic depends on the value of dIpsgIfSrcGuardMacFilterAction.

permitAllIpAdress(2) indicates that all IP traffic coming to this interface will be allowed. In this case, dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpAddress is 0.0.0.0.

denyAllIpAdress(3) indicates that all IP traffic coming to this interface will be dropped. In this case, dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpAddress is 0.0.0.0.

When this object is not 'permitIpAddress', the value of dIpsgIfSrcGuardMacFilterAction is meaningless.

What is dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpFilterAction?

This read-only INTEGER reports the IP-level action IP Source Guard is applying at the interface: permitIpAddress(1) allows only matching source-IP traffic, permitAllIpAdress(2) allows all IP traffic, and denyAllIpAddress(3) drops all IP traffic. An admin checks this alongside dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpAddress and dIpsgIfSrcGuardMacFilterAction to confirm exactly how a port is currently enforcing (or not enforcing) source verification. For example, seeing denyAllIpAddress(3) on a port explains why hosts there can't reach the network until a DHCP Snooping-enabled VLAN or valid binding is established.
