dIpsgIfSrcGuardFilterMode
Module: DLINKSW-IP-SOURCE-GUARD-MIB
OID (symbolic): DLINKSW-IP-SOURCE-GUARD-MIB::dIpsgIfSrcGuardFilterMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.132.1.2.2.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: This object indicates the Source Guard filter mode at this interface.
active(1) indicates that the Source Guard feature is active at this interface.
inactiveTrustPort(2) indicates that the Source Guard feature is inactive because this interface is a DHCP Snooping trust interface and all IP traffic is permitted. In this case, dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpFilterAction is 'permitAllIpAdress'.
inactiveNoSnoopingVlan(3) indicates that the Source Guard feature is inactive because this interface does not have a VLAN which has DHCP Snooping enabled and no IP source verify entry is active. In this case, all IP traffic is denied and dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpFilterAction is 'denyAllIpAddress'.
If this object is not 'active', the entry is a special entry: traffic from any VLANs on the interface has the same behavior indicated by dIpsgIfSrcGuardIpFilterAction and both dIpsgIfSrcGuardVlansFirst2K and dIpsgIfSrcGuardVlansSecond2K are empty.
What is dIpsgIfSrcGuardFilterMode?
This read-only INTEGER reports whether IP Source Guard is currently active(1) on the interface, inactive because it's a DHCP Snooping trust port (inactiveTrustPort(2), all traffic permitted), or inactive because no VLAN on the interface has DHCP Snooping enabled (inactiveNoSnoopingVlan(3), all traffic denied). An admin checks this to understand why an interface's real filtering behavior may differ from its configured dIpsgIfSrcGuardFilterType, since 'active' entries obey normal per-VLAN bindings while inactive entries apply one blanket permit/deny to all VLANs. For example, an admin who sees inactiveNoSnoopingVlan(3) on a port knows all IP traffic there is currently being dropped until DHCP Snooping is enabled on that VLAN.
