dGvrpIfForbiddenVlanLstFirst2K

Module: DLINKSW-GVRP-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINKSW-GVRP-MIB::dGvrpIfForbiddenVlanLstFirst2K

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.33.1.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Dlink2kVlanList

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies the VLANs in a string of octets containing one bit per VLAN for VLANs 1 to 2048. If the bit is set to '1', then the interface is forbidden to be the VLAN's member.

What is dGvrpIfForbiddenVlanLstFirst2K?

This is a bitmap, one bit per VLAN ID from 1 through 2048, marking which of those VLANs this interface is forbidden from joining even if GVRP learns them. Admins use it to hard-block specific VLANs on a port regardless of GVRP dynamic registration, which is useful for enforcing security boundaries on ports that should never carry certain traffic. For example, setting the bit for VLAN 10 (a management VLAN) prevents this port from ever becoming a member of VLAN 10 even if a GVRP JoinIn message requests it.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.33.1.2.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-GVRP-MIB::dGvrpIfForbiddenVlanLstFirst2K

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.33.1.2.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DLINKSW-GVRP-MIB::dGvrpIfForbiddenVlanLstFirst2K.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.26.33.1.2.1.1.3.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> dGvrpIfForbiddenVlanLstFirst2K.1
