dpVlanPortIfTrunkNativeVlanTagged

Module: DLINKPRIME-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINKPRIME-VLAN-MIB::dpVlanPortIfTrunkNativeVlanTagged

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.28.26.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates whether enable the tagging mode of the native VLAN on the interface.

Note: This value is meaningful only when the VLAN mode of the port is one of the 'trunk', 'privateVlanTrunkPromiscuous' or 'privateVlanTrunkSecondary'.

What is dpVlanPortIfTrunkNativeVlanTagged?

This TruthValue controls whether the port's native VLAN is sent tagged or untagged on the wire. It only takes effect when dpVlanPortIfMode is set to trunk, privateVlanTrunkPromiscuous, or privateVlanTrunkSecondary, letting an admin force 802.1Q tagging on the native VLAN for links that need consistent tagging end to end. Setting it to true(1) on a trunk uplink to a router-on-a-stick ensures even the native VLAN's frames carry a VLAN tag instead of arriving untagged.
