dpDeviceInfoIpV4AddrCfgMode

Module: DLINKPRIME-DEVICE-INFORMATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINKPRIME-DEVICE-INFORMATION-MIB::dpDeviceInfoIpV4AddrCfgMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.28.3.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the means by which the default interface in the device gets the IP address.

If 'manual' mode is selected, the default interface takes the 'sysDefaultIpAddr' configured in the system.

If 'dynamic' mode is selected, the default interface gets the IP address through dynamic IP address configuration protocols such as RARP client, BootP client, DHCP Client, etc.

If the system fails to get the IP address dynamically through all the above protocols, the default interface uses the 'sysDefaultIpAddr' configured in the system.

What is dpDeviceInfoIpV4AddrCfgMode?

This read-write setting selects how the device's default network interface obtains its IPv4 address: manual, dhcp, or bootp. Choosing manual makes the interface use the fixed sysDefaultIpAddr configured on the box, while dhcp or bootp lets it acquire an address dynamically, falling back to the manual address if none of those protocols succeed. For example, setting it to dhcp(2) lets the device pull its address from a DHCP server on first boot, keeping the configured static address in reserve if the DHCP request times out.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DLINKPRIME-DEVICE-INFORMATION-MIB::dpDeviceInfoIpV4AddrCfgMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.28.3.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DLINKPRIME-DEVICE-INFORMATION-MIB::dpDeviceInfoIpV4AddrCfgMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.28.3.1.1.1.1 i <value>
