Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Unsigned32
Access: read-create
Description: The worst case random drop probability, expressed in drops per thousand packets.
For example, if in the worst case every arriving packet may be dropped (100%) for a period, this has the value 1000. Alternatively, if in the worst case only one percent (1%) of traffic may be dropped, it has the value 10.
What is diffServRandomDropProbMax?
The worst-case drop probability, in drops per thousand packets, once the queue depth reaches the max threshold — e.g. 1000 means up to 100% of packets get dropped, 10 means up to 1%. Admins tune this to control how hard RED clamps down on a badly congested queue.
