swL2PVIDAutoAssignmentState

Module: DGS3612G-L2MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): DGS3612G-L2MGMT-MIB::swL2PVIDAutoAssignmentState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.70.9.2.17.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object controls the PVID auto assigment state. If 'Auto-assign PVID' is disabled, PVID only be changed by PVID configuration (user changes explicitly). The VLAN configuration will not automatically change PVID.

If 'Auto-assign PVID' is enabled, PVID will be possibly changed by PVID or VLAN configuration. When user configures a port to VLAN X's untagged membership, this port's PVID will be updated with VLAN X. In the form of VLAN list command, PVID is updated with last item of VLAN list. When user removes a port from the untagged membership of the PVID's VLAN, the port's PVID will be assigned with 'default VLAN'.

What is swL2PVIDAutoAssignmentState?

Controls whether a port's PVID (default/untagged VLAN) updates automatically as VLAN membership changes: when disabled, PVID only changes through explicit PVID configuration; when enabled, adding a port as untagged to VLAN X automatically updates its PVID to X (or to the last VLAN in a VLAN-list command), and removing it from its PVID's untagged membership resets the PVID back to the default VLAN. An admin enables this to keep PVID in sync automatically rather than tracking it manually alongside VLAN membership changes.
