aniDevRouteFlag

Module: DEVROUTE-MIB

OID (symbolic): DEVROUTE-MIB::aniDevRouteFlag

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4325.2.9.1.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: The flag to be associated with this particular route entry. While adding a network route, set this value to network(1). When a host route is being added, this value is set to host(2). Also, for host route, the subnet mask aniDevRouteMask has to be 255.255.255.255.

What is aniDevRouteFlag?

This object flags whether the route entry represents a network route, network(1), or a host-specific route, host(2). Admins must set it to host(2) whenever they add a route for a single IP address, and pair that with an aniDevRouteMask of 255.255.255.255, while network(1) is used for routes covering a subnet. For example, adding a static route to the single host 10.1.1.5 requires setting aniDevRouteFlag to host(2) alongside a 255.255.255.255 mask.
