Description: Manages L2 features including VLANs, spanning tree, and port settings for D-Link DES-3528.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is DES3528-L2MGMT-MIB?

DES3528-L2MGMT-MIB is a D-Link proprietary MIB defining Layer 2 network management information for the DES-3528 managed switch. Its objects cover front-panel LED status, total/in-use port counts, spanning-tree state, IGMP snooping (with a multicast-router-port-only variant), SNMP trap state, statistics-counter reset, FDB-table VLAN scoping, MAC-notification state/history-size/interval, asymmetric-VLAN state, Telnet/Web state and TCP port, management VLAN ID, LLDP state and forwarding, IP auto-configuration, and CFM (Connectivity Fault Management) state and per-port configuration. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm core Layer 2 management settings — spanning tree, IGMP snooping, management VLAN — are configured as intended on the switch. It is deployed on the D-Link DES-3528 managed switch. Engineers can download the DES3528-L2MGMT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DES3528-L2MGMT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • D-Link DES-3528 managed switch

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks swL2DevCtrlStpState and swL2DevCtrlIGMPSnooping to confirm spanning-tree and multicast-snooping are both enabled as expected on a D-Link DES-3528 switch.
