ibmSPDepSwChipLink

Module: DEPNODE-MIB

OID (symbolic): DEPNODE-MIB::ibmSPDepSwChipLink

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.117.4.1.1.13

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The send port number for packets from the adjacent switch chip to the dependent node. The dependent node needs this value to build the packet that it sends to the adjacent switch chip to trigger that chip to reply with a clock synchronization packet.

What is ibmSPDepSwChipLink?

This value is the send port number used by the adjacent switch chip when sending packets to this dependent node. The dependent node needs this value to correctly construct the packet it sends to the adjacent switch chip in order to trigger a clock synchronization reply. For example, an admin or the SP system's configuration tooling sets ibmSPDepSwChipLink to match the specific port on the adjacent switch chip wired to this node, ensuring clock sync requests are addressed correctly.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.117.4.1.1.13
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DEPNODE-MIB::ibmSPDepSwChipLink

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.117.4.1.1.13.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DEPNODE-MIB::ibmSPDepSwChipLink.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.117.4.1.1.13.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ibmSPDepSwChipLink.1
