Description: The associated new port id in the TRAP object on detecting mac move

What is newPortId?

This object carries the port number a MAC address moved to, as reported inside a MAC-move notification trap sent by a Dell Networking switch. Administrators use this value, delivered with the trap, to immediately see which port a given device's MAC address newly appeared on, which is useful for tracking device relocations or catching unauthorized port hopping. For example, if a laptop's MAC address is detected moving to port 24, this object would carry 24 in the trap sent to the monitoring station.
