Description: The operational state for a channel.
idle - The optical channel is not activated.
down - The optical channel traffic is lost.
up - There is traffic on the optical channel.
What is dcpOchStatus?
This value reports the operational state of the optical channel: idle (not activated), down (traffic lost), or up (traffic present). An admin monitors this as the primary go/no-go health indicator for whether light is actually flowing on that wavelength. For example, a channel flipping from up to down signals a fiber cut or component failure that needs immediate attention.
