Description: The number of active channels currently in regulation.
What is dcpOchGeneralActiveChannels?
This value is the count of channels currently being actively regulated by the EDFA's power-control loop. An admin monitors it to see how many wavelengths are actually live under gain regulation right now, as opposed to merely provisioned. For example, if maxChannels reads 96 while activeChannels reads 40, the site still has headroom to light 56 more wavelengths.
