isisSysMaxRecoveryTime
Module: DC-ISIS-MIB
OID (symbolic): DC-ISIS-MIB::isisSysMaxRecoveryTime
OID (numeric): 1.2.826.0.1.1578918.5.63.1.1.1.1.1.43
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-create
Description: This object is only used when DC-ISIS activates with the activation type (isisSysRestartActivationType or isisSysRestartAutoResetType) set to 'restart'.
It defines the maximum time that DC-ISIS will take before completing restart procedures.
The value specified puts an upper bound on the duration of the T3 timer described in the IS-IS restart RFC (3847). The actual duration of the timer is the minimum of the value specified and the minimum remaining holding time received on an adjacency.
This object follows the resettingTimer behavior.
What is isisSysMaxRecoveryTime?
Sets, in seconds (1-65535, default 65535), the maximum time DC-ISIS allows for completing graceful-restart procedures when restarting with type 'restart'; the actual wait is the smaller of this configured value and the minimum remaining holding time received on any adjacency (an upper bound on the RFC 3847 T3 timer). An admin shortens this when a faster worst-case restart completion is required, understanding that the real duration is still capped by neighbor-reported holding times.
