Module: DC-ISIS-MIB

OID (symbolic): DC-ISIS-MIB::isisSysExistState

OID (numeric): 1.2.826.0.1.1578918.5.63.1.1.1.1.1.13

Type: RowStatus

Access: read-create

Description: The state of the IS-IS router. Turning this to state 'destroy' forces the router to forget all the current configuration. Setting the state to 'notInService' stops protocol processing, but retains the configuration.

What is isisSysExistState?

Controls the overall existence state of this IS-IS router instance's row: setting it to destroy makes the router forget its entire current configuration, while notInService stops protocol processing but keeps the configuration intact for later reactivation. An admin uses notInService to temporarily pause IS-IS on a router without having to reconfigure it afterward, reserving destroy for a full configuration wipe.
