wtSeriUdpDispString1
Module: Com-Server-Intern-MIB
OID (symbolic): Com-Server-Intern-MIB::wtSeriUdpDispString1
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.3.6.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: These parameters allow compact sending of serial data to the network; the serial data stream is not broken up randomly, but rather serial packets can be sent in their original context even over the network as one packet. Enter in wtSeriUdpDispString1 and/or wtSeriUdpDispString2 two characters each that you want the serial data stream searched for. Only if one of the two strings is found are the data from the serial port packed into network packets. If you only want to look for one character, set wtSeriUdpDispString2 to 0. If for example you configure wtSeriTcpDispString1 to 3100h and wtSeriUdpDispString2 to 0, only character 1 is searched for. Both Dispatch Strings = 0 deactivates the mode. IMPORTANT: These characters are sent to the UDP server!
What is wtSeriUdpDispString1?
Read-write 2-octet OCTET STRING; together with wtSeriUdpDispString2 it defines up to two dispatch characters the Com-Server watches for in the serial stream to decide when to send accumulated data as a UDP packet, keeping serial message boundaries intact over the network -- both characters are forwarded to the UDP server.
