wtSeriSlipNetRouting

Module: Com-Server-Intern-MIB

OID (symbolic): Com-Server-Intern-MIB::wtSeriSlipNetRouting

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.3.13.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: If this parameter has a value of 2, the Com-Server operates as a router for the Subnet specified under wtSeriSlipNetAddress. If the parameter has a value of 1, the Com-Server is transparent, i.e. all packets sent to the IP address of the Com-Server are passed on as SLIP packets to the serial port. The destination IP address (IP address of the Com-Server) is replaced by the parameter wtSeriSlipNetAddress. This allows assigning of individual IP addresses to the connected SLIP computers (=wtSeriSlipNetAddress), without having to assign an individual Subnet for each connection.

What is wtSeriSlipNetRouting?

Read-write INTEGER switch choosing whether the Com-Server actively routes to the SLIP subnet named in wtSeriSlipNetAddress (value 2) or acts transparently, substituting that address for its own so multiple SLIP-connected computers can each get an individual IP without a dedicated subnet (value 1).

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.3.13.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Com-Server-Intern-MIB::wtSeriSlipNetRouting

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.3.13.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Com-Server-Intern-MIB::wtSeriSlipNetRouting.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.3.13.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> wtSeriSlipNetRouting.1
