wtDeaDrvWatchdog

Module: Com-Server-Intern-MIB

OID (symbolic): Com-Server-Intern-MIB::wtDeaDrvWatchdog

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.4.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This parameter allows control of all instances which are active between the card driver in the Com-Server and the application on the computer, including the computer itself (e.g., TCP/IP stack in the computer, network card, network, ..). If one of these instances drops out, i.e., communication between the application and the card driver is no longer ensured, the card driver switches all outputs off after expiration of the driver watchdog (in 100ms ticks). IMPORTANT: If this parameter is activated, the application must poll the card driver regularly by sending an I/O structure. The value of the variable wtDeaDrvWatchdog should be a multiple of the poll rate. Monitoring is always active. If a TCP connection is closed without deactivating the outputs, this is done after expiration of the driver watchdog.

What is wtDeaDrvWatchdog?

Read-write INTEGER driver watchdog timer, in 100ms ticks, that forces all digital outputs off if the network path to the controlling application (its TCP/IP stack, NIC, the network itself) stops responding; the vendor requires the controlling application to poll the driver regularly with an I/O structure and to size this watchdog as a multiple of that poll interval so a genuinely lost connection -- not just normal poll jitter -- trips it.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.4.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Com-Server-Intern-MIB::wtDeaDrvWatchdog

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.4.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Com-Server-Intern-MIB::wtDeaDrvWatchdog.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5040.1.1.1.4.3.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> wtDeaDrvWatchdog.1
