What is cxIoHwCardTypeTrapReport?

This controls whether a mismatch between the configured card type, cxIoCardAdmType, and the physically detected card triggers a cxIoHwCardTypeTrap. An admin enables this to get proactive SNMP trap notification of card type mismatches instead of having to poll cxIoCardAdmState manually. For example, setting this to enabled(2) means installing the wrong card type in a configured slot will immediately generate a trap alerting the NMS.
