frimSapMonitorFrames

Module: CXFrameRelayInterfaceModule-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXFrameRelayInterfaceModule-MIB::frimSapMonitorFrames

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.2.3.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Determines the total number of frames that will be monitored at any one time for frames having the FECN and/or BECN bits set. It also defines how many frames must be received without FECN and/or BECN bits set before the system decides that a congested circuit has returned to a normal state. This object is meaningful only if 'frimSapType' for this SAP is set to 'upper'.

Range of Values: 1 - 14

Default Value: 14

Configuration Changed: operative

What is frimSapMonitorFrames?

On an upper-type SAP, defines the sliding window size (1-14 frames, default 14) used to count FECN/BECN-marked frames for congestion detection, and also how many clean frames are needed before the circuit is considered to have recovered. An admin tunes this together with frimSapMaxErrorFrames to control how sensitive congestion reporting is.
