cfgActivateTransfer

Module: CTRON-SSR-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-SSR-CONFIG-MIB::cfgActivateTransfer

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.2501.1.231.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Activate the file transfer operation with a value of True(1) or stop it with False(2). Poll cfgTransferStatus for current status. Default value is False. cfgFileName, cfgManagerAddress and cfgTransferOp must be valid prior to setting this object to True. This object is equivalent to the CLI command: copy tftp-server to startup if cfgRequestOp == sendConfig

What is cfgActivateTransfer?

Setting this TruthValue to True(1) starts the file transfer job defined by cfgTransferOp, cfgManagerAddress, and the filename, while False(2) stops it, with progress visible via cfgTransferStatus. It is the SNMP equivalent of the CLI command 'copy tftp-server to startup' when a send operation is configured, so it must only be toggled after the other transfer parameters are validly set. For example, an admin sets this to True after pointing cfgManagerAddress at a TFTP server to push a saved configuration onto the switch.
