ctRatePolicingRuleStatus

Module: CTRON-RATE-POLICING-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-RATE-POLICING-MIB::ctRatePolicingRuleStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.7.1.3.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object provides both control and status for the associated conceptual row in the table. The value of active(1) indicates that device is actively applying the rate policing rule defined by the other leaves in this row. All other read-write leaves in this row have an effective value of read-only while the row is in the active state. The value of disabled(2) indicates that this row is essentially an available resource which MAY be configured and activated.

What is ctRatePolicingRuleStatus?

This read-write status object indicates whether this rate-policing rule row is actively enforced (active) or merely a configured-but-inactive resource (disabled). While active, all other read-write leaves in the row become effectively read-only, so admins must set it back to disabled before modifying the rule's threshold, action, priority, or direction settings. For example, to change the threshold on an already-active rule, an admin would first set this object to disabled(2), edit ctRatePolicingThreshHold, then set it back to active(1).
