nwIpRipHoldDown

Module: CTRON-IP-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-IP-ROUTER-MIB::nwIpRipHoldDown

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.4.1.1.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the amount of time (in seconds) to wait before removing an entry from the route table, after receiving an update indicating that the destination has become unreachable. All routers exchanging RIP routing protocol information must have the same hold down time. The time must be long enough to allow all participating routers to receive the same update.

What is nwIpRipHoldDown?

Sets how many seconds the router waits, after hearing that a destination has become unreachable, before actually removing that route from the table (default 120 seconds); all routers on the network must share the same hold-down time so everyone has a chance to receive the same unreachability update before routes disappear.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.4.1.1.1.1.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-IP-ROUTER-MIB::nwIpRipHoldDown

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.4.1.1.1.1.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-IP-ROUTER-MIB::nwIpRipHoldDown.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.4.1.1.1.1.10.1 i <value>
