Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DecIVAddress

Access: read-write

Description: The DECnet Address used to uniquely identify the host (device) running DECnet Phase IV Routing Services. Since DECnet Phase IV uses a single address to identify the host and all of its router ports, rather than using an address per router port, nwDecIVSysRouterID is the DECnet node address for all the router ports on the device.

What is nwDecIVSysRouterId?

nwDecIVSysRouterId is a read-write DECnet address that uniquely identifies this device as a whole for DECnet Phase IV Routing Services, since DECnet Phase IV assigns one address to the host rather than a separate address per router port. An admin sets this to establish the device's identity on the DECnet network, and every router port on the box is then known under this same node address. For example, configuring nwDecIVSysRouterId to area.node 1.50 means all of that router's ports advertise themselves under DECnet address 1.50, not individual per-port addresses.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVSysRouterId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVSysRouterId.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.1.1.1.1 s <value>
