nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority

Module: CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.4.1.1.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the run-time execution priority of the DECnet Phase IV distance-vector-based routing protocol thread. In order for a change of this value to take effect, the protocol (nwDecIVProtoAdminReset), DECnet Phase IV Routing Services (nwDecIVSysAdminReset), or the device running Routing Services must be reset.

What is nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority?

nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority is a read-write integer specifying the run-time execution priority of the DECnet Phase IV distance-vector-based routing protocol's thread, noting that a change only takes effect after the protocol, Routing Services, or the device is reset. An admin raises this priority if DECnet routing updates are being processed too slowly relative to other tasks competing for CPU time on the device. For example, an admin who raises nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority to speed up route convergence must still reset the protocol via nwDecIVProtoAdminReset for the new priority to actually apply.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.4.1.1.1.1.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.4.1.1.1.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.4.1.1.1.1.7.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> nwDecIVProtoThreadPriority.1
