Description: Specifies the stack size of the DECnet Phase IV distance-vector- based routing protocol thread. In order for a change of this value to take effect, the protocol (nwDecIVProtoAdminReset), DECnet Phase IV Routing Services (nwDecIVSysAdminReset), or the device running Routing Services must be reset.

What is nwDecIVProtoStackSize?

nwDecIVProtoStackSize is a read-write integer specifying the stack size allocated to the DECnet Phase IV distance-vector-based routing protocol's execution thread, noting that a change only takes effect after the protocol, Routing Services, or the device is reset. An admin would adjust this if the routing protocol's thread were running low on stack space, for example under heavy route-table churn. For example, after raising nwDecIVProtoStackSize to give the thread more headroom, an admin must still trigger nwDecIVProtoAdminReset or reboot the device before the larger stack actually takes effect.
