nwDecIVProtoIfCtrAdminStatus

Module: CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVProtoIfCtrAdminStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.4.1.1.2.2.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Sets the administrative state of the per-port DECnet Phase IV distance-vectorbased routing protocol packet and byte counters on the router port for which the entry exists. Enabled (3) causes these counters to become active. Disabled (2) causes these counters to become inactive.

What is nwDecIVProtoIfCtrAdminStatus?

nwDecIVProtoIfCtrAdminStatus is a read-write switch controlling whether the per-port DECnet Phase IV distance-vector-based routing protocol packet and byte counters are actively accumulating on the router port identified by this row, with enabled(3) turning them on and disabled(2) turning them off. An admin can disable counting for the routing protocol on one specific port to save resources while still counting on other, more relevant ports. For example, setting nwDecIVProtoIfCtrAdminStatus to disabled(2) on a rarely-used port stops that port's routing-protocol counters from incrementing without affecting counters on the router's busier ports.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVProtoIfCtrAdminStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.4.1.1.2.2.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVProtoIfCtrAdminStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.4.1.1.2.2.1.1.2.1 i <value>
