What is nwDecIVProtoCtrOutBytes?
nwDecIVProtoCtrOutBytes is a read-only Counter tracking the total number of bytes contained in the DECnet packets that have been transmitted, system-wide, specifically for the DECnet Phase IV distance-vector-based routing protocol's own traffic, not raw forwarded user data, during the relevant OperationalTime measurement window. Admins compare this against the received count to see how much DECnet traffic is actually being sent back out, which helps spot asymmetric or one-sided traffic patterns. For example, if the transmitted bytes count stays far below the received count for the routing protocol system-wide, that imbalance would prompt an admin to check why so little is going back out in the routing protocol's own control traffic.
