nwDecIVHostMapCircuitID

Module: CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVHostMapCircuitID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.6.3.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The identifier for the virtual circuit present on the interface. On an interface configured for Frame Relay, this number is the DLCI for the DecIV Address at the end of the circuit. For non-WAN interfaces, the value of this object is zero.

What is nwDecIVHostMapCircuitID?

nwDecIVHostMapCircuitID is a read-write integer identifying the virtual circuit present on the interface for this host-map entry, holding the Frame Relay DLCI for the DECnet address at the far end of the circuit on a Frame Relay interface, and reading zero for non-WAN interfaces. An admin uses this to tie a specific host mapping to the exact virtual circuit it travels over on WAN media, which matters when a single physical interface carries multiple DLCIs. For example, a host-map entry with nwDecIVHostMapCircuitID set to 100 on a Frame Relay port tells the admin that host is reached specifically over DLCI 100, not some other circuit on the same physical link.
