Description: Resets the per-port DECnet packet and byte counters on the router port for which the entry exists. Reset (2) resets the counters to 0. nwDecIVFwdIfCtrOperationalTime is also reset to 0.
What is nwDecIVFwdIfCtrReset?
nwDecIVFwdIfCtrReset is a read-write action object that, when set to reset(2), zeroes out the per-port DECnet packet and byte counters on the router port identified by this row, and also resets nwDecIVFwdIfCtrOperationalTime to 0. An admin uses this to establish a clean per-port baseline before testing or diagnosing traffic on just that interface, without disturbing counters on other ports. For example, before diagnosing a suspected DECnet loop on one port, an admin would set nwDecIVFwdIfCtrReset to reset(2) on that port's row and then watch its counters climb from zero.
