nwDecIVFwdIfAclStatus

Module: CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVFwdIfAclStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.2.2.1.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Controls the operation of any access control list configured for DECnet traffic on the router port for which the entry exists. Enabled (3) applies the access control list indicated by the value of nwDecIVFwdIfAclIdentifier to all DECnet traffic being routed on the port. Disabled (2) prevents the access control list from being applied.

What is nwDecIVFwdIfAclStatus?

nwDecIVFwdIfAclStatus is a read-write switch controlling whether the access control list named by nwDecIVFwdIfAclIdentifier is actually applied to DECnet traffic on this port, with enabled(3) applying it and disabled(2) preventing it from being applied. An admin toggles this to turn access filtering for DECnet traffic on or off on a given port without having to change or remove the access control list identifier itself. For example, an admin can temporarily set nwDecIVFwdIfAclStatus to disabled(2) to rule out the access control list as the cause of a connectivity problem, then re-enable it once testing is done.
