What is nwDecIVFibNextHopIf?
nwDecIVFibNextHopIf is a read-write integer holding the MIB-2 ifIndex that identifies the router port through which this FIB entry's route actually passes. An admin uses this to see exactly which local interface carries traffic for a given destination, which is useful when diagnosing why traffic to a specific DECnet node is or isn't taking the expected path. For example, if nwDecIVFibNextHopIf for a route reads 2, the admin knows traffic to that destination leaves the router through the interface MIB-2 reports as ifIndex 2.
