nwDecIVBroadcastTimer

Module: CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVBroadcastTimer

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the periodic interval (in seconds) at which DECnet Routing Services advertises its route table on any multi-access broadcast networks attached to any router port configured and enabled for DECnet Phase IV Routing Services.

What is nwDecIVBroadcastTimer?

nwDecIVBroadcastTimer is a read-write TimeTicks value that sets how often, in seconds, DECnet Phase IV Routing Services broadcasts its route table on multi-access broadcast networks attached to enabled router ports. This is the broadcast-media counterpart to nwDecIVNonBroadcastTimer, letting an admin separately tune update frequency for shared Ethernet-style segments versus non-broadcast links. For example, decreasing nwDecIVBroadcastTimer on a busy Ethernet segment makes routers converge on topology changes faster, at the cost of more frequent route-table broadcasts consuming segment bandwidth.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.1.1.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVBroadcastTimer

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.1.1.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DECIV-ROUTER-MIB::nwDecIVBroadcastTimer.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.3.2.1.1.10.1 i <value>
