Description: Denotes the status performed on the UPS. A write unitOK(1) intiates the test. A read indicates status of test.
What is upsTest?
This read-write enumerated integer reports the status of a UPS self-test, unitOK(1), unitFailed(2), badBattery(3), or noRecentTest(4), and writing unitOK(1) initiates a new test while reading reports the result of the last one. An administrator triggers this periodically to verify the UPS and its battery are still functioning correctly before an actual power event occurs. For example, the admin writes unitOK(1) to this object to kick off a scheduled UPS self-test, then reads it back later to confirm the result was unitOK(1) and not badBattery(3).
