Description: Indicates the link-layer address of the device which caused nwAtportStatus to be set to off (3). If this address is not available, or if nwAtportStatus is not set to off, this object will be a zero length octet string.
What is nwAtportConflictPhysAddr?
This read-only OCTET STRING records the link-layer address of the device that caused a port's status to be set to off(3), and it is a zero-length string when that address is unavailable or the port isn't off. An administrator reads it right after seeing a port go into the off state to identify the conflicting neighbor device. Retrieving nwAtportConflictPhysAddr after nwAtportSTATUS shows off(3) hands the technician the exact MAC-layer address of the device to go track down and reconfigure.
