nwAtProtoStackSize

Module: CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB::nwAtProtoStackSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.4.1.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the stack size of the AppleTalk routing protocol thread. In order for a change of this value to take effect, the protocol (nwAtProtoAdminReset), AppleTalk Routing Services (nwAtProtoAdminReset), or the device running Routing Services must be reset.

What is nwAtProtoStackSize?

This read-write INTEGER specifies the stack size allocated to the AppleTalk routing protocol's execution thread, and the description notes a change only takes effect after the protocol, AppleTalk Routing Services, or the whole device is reset. An administrator would raise it if the routing protocol thread is crashing or misbehaving under load, suggesting stack exhaustion. Increasing nwAtProtoStackSize and then triggering nwAtProtoAdminReset lets staff apply a larger stack allocation to a routing thread suspected of running low on stack space.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.4.1.1.1.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB::nwAtProtoStackSize

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.4.1.1.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB::nwAtProtoStackSize.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.4.1.1.1.1.6.1 i <value>
