nwAtProtoIfOperSTATUS

Module: CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB::nwAtProtoIfOperSTATUS

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.4.1.1.2.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates the current operating condition of the AppleTalk routing protocol on the router port for which the entry exists. The value of nwAtProtoIfOperStatus indicates any problem with your AppleTalk routing protocol configuration on the router port. A value of 6 indicates that regardless of the value of nwAtProtoIfAdminStatus, the routing protocol is not operating on the router port because of an invalid configuration.

What is nwAtProtoIfOperSTATUS?

This read-only INTEGER reports the actual operating condition of the AppleTalk routing protocol on a specific router port, and per its description a value of 6 means the protocol isn't operating on that port because of an invalid port-level configuration, regardless of the admin-status setting. An administrator uses it to pinpoint exactly which port's routing-protocol configuration is broken. Seeing nwAtProtoIfOperSTATUS report 6 on one port while its peers show enabled(3) isolates a routing misconfiguration to that specific link.
