Description: Resets the routing protocol. Reset (2) forces a system-wide restart of the protocol without a graceful shutdown on any active router ports.
What is nwAtProtoAdminReset?
This read-write INTEGER (other/reset) restarts the AppleTalk routing protocol system-wide, and reset(2) forces that restart without a graceful shutdown on any active router ports. An administrator uses it to force route tables to rebuild from scratch when routing information looks stale or corrupted. Setting nwAtProtoAdminReset to reset(2) after noticing AppleTalk zones stopped propagating correctly forces the routing protocol to restart and rebuild its route table.
