Module: CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB::nwAtNetDiagOutboundZIPType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.12.3.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The type of outbound ZIP diagnostic function to initiate. Upon setting this value to a value other than noAction(1) or other(8), the corresponding request will be initiated and the value will be set to noAction(1).

What is nwAtNetDiagOutboundZIPType?

This read-write enumerated value selects which Zone Information Protocol (ZIP) diagnostic action to run, such as sending a zone query, a broadcast query, or requesting a zones list, and resets automatically to noAction(1) once initiated. An admin uses this to actively test zone-to-network mapping behavior, which is useful when AppleTalk clients report missing or incorrect zone lists in their Chooser. For example, setting this to sendGetZonesList(4) would trigger a query asking a neighboring router for the complete list of zones it knows about on the network.
