Module: CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB::nwAtNetDiagOutboundRTMPType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.12.3.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The type of outbound RTMP diagnostic function to initiate. Upon setting this value to a value other than noAction(1) or other(8), the corresponding request will be initiated and the value will be set to noAction(1).

What is nwAtNetDiagOutboundRTMPType?

This read-write enumerated value selects which RTMP (Routing Table Maintenance Protocol) diagnostic action to run, such as sending a direct request, a broadcast request, or a split-horizon route data request, resetting to noAction(1) once initiated. An admin uses this to actively probe AppleTalk routing table exchange behavior with a neighboring router, useful when route information seems stale or inconsistent. For example, setting this field to bcastRequest(3) would send a broadcast RTMP request out the configured diagnostic port to solicit routing updates from all AppleTalk routers on that segment.
