What is nwAtHostMapPhysAddr?
This read-write physical address field records the media-dependent hardware address associated with an AppleTalk host mapping entry, and is set to zero for entries using native-wan(8) framing. An admin checks this field to verify the correct hardware address is bound to an AppleTalk node, and expects a zero value specifically on native-WAN framed circuits rather than treating it as an error. For example, an Ethernet-attached AppleTalk host would show its actual MAC address here, while a host reached over a native-WAN framed circuit would correctly show all zeros.
