nwAtFwdIfCtrAdminSTATUS

Module: CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-AppleTalk-ROUTER-MIB::nwAtFwdIfCtrAdminSTATUS

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.4.2.2.2.2.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Sets the administrative state of the per-port AppleTalk packet and byte counters on the router port for which the entry exists. Enabled (3) causes these counters to become active. Disabled (2) causes these counters to become inactive.

What is nwAtFwdIfCtrAdminSTATUS?

This read-write INTEGER (other/disabled/enabled) turns the per-port AppleTalk packet and byte counters on or off for a specific router port, with enabled(3) activating them and disabled(2) deactivating them. An administrator enables these counters on a port before running a focused traffic study on just that link. Setting nwAtFwdIfCtrAdminSTATUS to enabled(3) on a suspect port lets staff gather detailed packet and byte statistics for that single link without affecting counters elsewhere on the device.
