Description: Specifies number of located resources maintained in the Directory Cache. Note: if nwAppnSysDirCacheSize is set to a value too small, it will be internally increased to a higher value after APPN routing services has been successfully enabled. A subsequent GET operation on nwAppnSysDirCacheSize will reflect this new value.
What is nwAppnSysDirCacheSize?
This read-write integer (1-65535) sets how many located resources are kept in the APPN Directory Cache, with the router able to internally raise too-small values once enabled. A larger cache reduces repeat network searches for resources that were already located, improving locate performance on a busy network. An admin seeing frequent Directory Cache misses might increase this value, then re-read the OID to confirm the router's accepted setting.
