This read-write integer (0-255) holds the first of three generic user-defined parameters attached to this Connection Network's transmission group entry, with no meaning interpreted by APPN itself. It gives an admin a place to record site-specific metadata about the connection network alongside its cost and delay settings. A site might use this slot to record an internal segment ID for the connection network being modeled.
